1.0 Introduction

The LCD32 module can display a total 4 lines of 16 characters each, of which only 2 lines are visible at a time. The characters are displayed using a 5×7 dot matrix. There is a mechanical switch labeled LINES on the LCD32 module that switches between displaying lines 1-2 and lines 3-4 however it is not functioning in this Rev.

2.0 Revision Details

The historical detail of the revisions between subsequent versions of this brick will be detailed here.  Only revisions that create differences in the operation, programming or hookup of two modules with different revision numbers will be documented.

Rev B  - Rev B correct a number of circuit errors in Rev A . 

3.0 Hookup Details

The only hookup required for the LCD32 is to attached the CAN Bus cable to the module.  The Display Selection Switch is 

4.0 Assigned Address

The LCD32 has an assigned address of "0x20" but the user can reassign a different address using the Address_Set command so long as the user assigned address is not being used by any other module connected to the CAN bus (see RoboBricks2 - General Information and/or Common Protocol ).

5.0 Default Settings

The LCD32 default configuration prints to the LCD a line of "3's" on row 1 and a line of "4's" on row 2.  Both lines must be cleared prior to sending new data to the LCD display.
